Actress Mahira Khan has sparked fresh excitement among fans about a possible sequel to The Legend of Maula Jatt after sharing a throwback post four years after the film’s release.
Looking back at her journey with the blockbuster film, Mahira wrote, “Oh maybe we should do this again.” Mahira’s post, along with tags for Ammara Hikmat and Bilal Lashari, ueling fans’ hopes for another chapter of the hit film.

The film ‘Legend of Maula Jatt’ premiered in cinemas in October 2022 and broke box-office records to become Pakistan’s highest-grossing film.
1979 classic ‘Maula Jatt, Bilal Lashari helmed the modern remake by featuring lead cast as Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Humaima Malick. And Mahira Khan portrays Mukkho character the love interest of Maula Jatt.
Besides directing the film, Lashari also controlled on its writing, camerawork and excision. The film was produced by Ammara Hikmat in which, she proposed to convey a fresh alteration to the Pakistani film industry.
In 2011 when Mahira started her screen career and featured in Pakistan most famous film ‘Bol’ and then got extensive popularity by played as lead heroin in the drama Humsafar. She is not only shine on Lollywood screens, but also made her Bollywood debut in Raees, where she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan as Aasiya Qazi, the supportive wife of his character.
Recently, Mahira shared the screen with Fawad Khan in Neelofar, released in 2025, followed by Love Guru with *Humayun Saeed and Aag Lagay Basti Mein opposite Fahad Mustafa in 2026.
