American actress and singer Demi Lovato has stirring update for Disney fans as she is formally come back as Mitchie Torres in Camp Rock 3. The announcement has gotten back memories for fans who grew up watching the popular musical franchise.
On Monday, August 10, Disney formally declared that Lovato will play again her cherished character. Fans had already picked up on her voice in earlier trailer footage.
The singer will not only reprise her role as Mitchie, but this time she will serve as an executive producer on the film, while the Jonas Brothers are also coming back as Connect 3. The returning trio will see Joe Jonas as Shane Gray, Nick Jonas as Nate Gray and Kevin Jonas once again playing Jason Gray.
Maria Canals-Barrera will also return as Connie, Mitchie’s mother and the camp director.
Disney Branded Television president Ayo Davis said taking back the original actors is a distinctive moment for the upcoming sequel. She also stated anticipation about presenting the Camp Rock story to a new age group of viewers.
What is Camp Rock 3 about?
The new film follows Connect 3 as they prepare for a reunion tour. When their opening act drops out, the band returns to Camp Rock to search for new talent.
The film will also introduce several new stars, including Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, Lumi Pollack, Sherry Cola and Hudson Stone.
When will Camp Rock 3 premiere?
Camp Rock 3 will premiere on Disney Channel on August 13. Fans will also be able to watch the film on Disney+ from August 14.
