Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has congratulated the appointment of six senior officials to key positions, stressing the importance of greater coordination among the country’s armed forces and the advancement of defense and technological capabilities.
In a message to Major General Ali Abdollahi on Tuesday, Pezeshkian said safeguarding Iran’s security, independence and territorial integrity requires “vigilance, coordination and all-out readiness.” He described the position of Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces as strategically important, saying Abdollahi’s experience in various command roles and his record in defending the country would be valuable in carrying out the responsibility.
Pezeshkian said Iran’s national strength depends not only on military capabilities but also on unity and coordination among the armed forces and the effective use of scientific expertise and modern defense technologies. He added that his administration considers the armed forces a fundamental pillar of Iran’s power, security and independence.
