Pakistan, Egypt, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and four other Muslim-majority countries have issued a joint statement condemning Israel’s military actions in Gaza, particularly attacks on hospitals and healthcare infrastructure. According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the foreign ministers described the killing of civilians and attacks on civilian facilities as violations of international law, warning that the continued Israeli offensive is undermining peace efforts and worsening the humanitarian crisis despite the approval of the Trump peace roadmap.
The joint communique stressed that the protection of civilians, medical facilities and humanitarian workers is an obligation under international law. The foreign ministers called for the immediate and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid, medical supplies and relief assistance to Gaza, adding that the situation in the territory cannot be separated from ongoing settler violence, illegal settlement expansion and attempts to alter the status of Jerusalem in the occupied West Bank.
The ministers urged the international community and the United Nations Security Council to fulfill their legal and moral responsibilities by ensuring Israel complies with international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2803. They also called for accountability for those responsible for serious violations, reaffirmed the need for a permanent ceasefire and full implementation of existing agreements, and categorically rejected any attempt to annex Palestinian territories or forcibly displace the Palestinian people. The statement reiterated that a sovereign and independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, remains the only viable solution, emphasizing that a credible political process toward a two-state solution is essential for achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.
