SRINAGAR: Calling for the defense of refugee right, Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has endorsed that Kashmiri refugees living in Pakistan are secure under constitutional and democratic principles and should not be denied.
Mirwaiz believed millions of Kashmiri migrants have the right to join in the democratic progression, highlighting that no one can dispossess them of their legitimate right to vote. Mirwaiz worried that the rights of Kashmiri refugees are closely linked to the collective rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir stressing that they must be valued and protected likewise.
To more add in his statement, the accomplishment of the Kashmiri people’s struggle be contingent on fair and unbiased depiction of all citizens of Jammu and Kashmir, regardless of where they live. He said protecting the rights of one group should not come at the expense of another and stressed that equality, justice and mutual respect are essential to safeguarding the interests of all Kashmiris.
Mirwaiz insisted all parties involved to speak the matter over beneficial interchange and consent. The Hurriyat leader said, all parties apprehensive should sit together, hold conferences in a spirit of mutual consultation and understanding, and work towards a balanced solution that is acceptable to everyone.
